Today, on the 6th of June an annual meeting was held to discuss issues related to the preparation of the 2024 exams.
During the meeting, the group members discussed the action plan and specific tasks to be performed by each agency involved in the logistical aspects of the exams. The discussion included the provision of emergency and fire aid, transportation, and other important issues.
Pre-examination preparations are actively underway at the National Assessment and Examinations Center. The process of distributing applicants to examination centers and providing the necessary materials for the examinations has begun.
The selection testing of invigilators, curators, and assistants for Tbilisi examination centers has been completed. In the near future, curators and assistants for regional centers will also be selected through testing. Meanwhile, the special commission, along with experts and the relevant center service, is reviewing applications regarding special conditions.
Examination centers will operate in 12 cities this year: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Telavi, Gori, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Poti, Ozurgeti, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Khulo, and Ambrolauri.
A total of 80,000 applicants are registered for the unified national exams, the student grant competition, the general master’s exam, and the teacher’s exam.
In 2024, the examination process will begin with the Unified National Exams on July 3. Those registered for the subject and special teacher exams will start on July 5. The student grant competition will also be held on July 5, and the candidates for master’s degrees will take the common master’s exam on July 17-18.
To ensure a high level of exam administration, an organizational group is created every year. The group comprises of the representatives from the following agencies: the Government Administration of Georgia, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, the National Assessment and Examinations Center, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Ministry of Labor, Health, and Social Affairs of IDPs from the Occupied Territories of Georgia, the Ministry of Defense, the Resocialization-Rehabilitation Department of the Special Penitentiary Service (a state sub-departmental institution under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia), the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Police Education Management Information System, the Police Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency, JSC “Telasi”, JSC “Energo-Pro Georgia”, LLC Magticom, and LLC Skytel.
